A snowboard stomp pad is a pad that is attached to the top of the snowboard so you can stand on it.
It is placed between the bindings, but closer to the rear binding. The purpose of the Stomp pad is to provide grip for the back foot allowing the rider better control of the board when only one boot is strapped in, such as when you go on a ski lift, get off the ski lift or just traverse a flat section of the slope.
Stomp pads are very useful for beginners, intermediate and experienced riders.
